Appearance: Faera is of average height with a slender and lithe body. She is quite pretty; always having a smile on her face also contributes to attracting others to her. Both her hair color and face tattoos are the results of magical means (2). Many of the men who have had classes with her would say that she's "quite a distraction."

Personality: Generally good. Faera is usually a cheery person and enjoys being happy. To this end, she tries to keep others happy as well, especially those with whom she chooses to surround herself (1). However, she will not suffer herself to achieve it; her own happiness is most important. She's been called cruel by some men since she doesn't look for 'true love', knowing that mages are never afforded such luxuries (3).

Background story:  Faera came to the Circle Tower at a very young age. She believes she was maybe 5 but isn't certain and has no memories from before being an apprentice. Though some mages dislike the Circle Tower and see it as nothing more than a prison, Faera enjoys the opportunities it has given her. According to her reading about her kin, she would never have gotten such an incredible education had she not been brought to the Circle Tower. She is a talented mage but didn't get her Harrowing until later as she spent much of her time chasing other interests that she enjoys. Dancing is her favorite pasttime.

(1) Faera is naturally a people person and helps others out when she can; their happiness bolsters her own. Living in the Circle Tower has also prevented Faera from acquiring any attachment to money. She doesn't value it highly and is more than happy to give it away if it helps another. She will accept it, of course, but sees it as a gift. And she likes receiving gifts. She also has an affinity for pretty and/or shiny baubles.

(2) Her hair was golden in color, but around age 10, she became unhappy with it because it was too common. She thought it would be better if her hair was white since it would be quite uncommon for a girl of her age. A friend in the Circle Tower also suggested some facial tattoos and had even drawn a sketch for her. She absolutely loved the idea. He had been experimenting with some magic to alter appearances, and she was happy to volunteer as practice to get the look she wanted. Of course, this was strictly not allowed within the Tower, but they managed to keep it a secret until the day after he was actually successful. Not willing to give up the name of the mage who did it, Faera spent several days in a cell. The mage responsible for bringing her food felt sorry for her (thinking she was brave to protect her friend) and asked if there was something she wanted. Faera asked for a mirror to admire what landed her in the cell, and the older mage happily brought her one the next day.

(3) The Circle Tower taught her more than just magic. She also learned about life and love. At a young age, she witnessed the death of one mage as he attempted to prevent the templars from taking away his lover and their unborn child. Remembering that moment as she grew older, she decided not to waste time on idle fancies of finding love since she knew it could not end well. Although she follows her whims when it comes to romantic interests, there is a small part of her that holds on to the dream of a certain Circle Tower templar (even though he practically ran for his life the one time she had actually suggested they do something about it).
